Short animation film ”The Egg Timer”, written by Empire Pictures’ Annalisa Schmuckli, has received a scriptwriting grant from the Finnish Film Foundation.
Short film ”The Rooster” (”Le Coq”), directed by Pierre-Louis Umdenstock, finishes shooting in Paris and the munincipality of Villemomble. ”The Rooster” stars French talents Moussa Sylla, Selina Laurenn and Denis Jansolin, and the crew consists of incredible artists from all over the world. The post-production of the film will start in autumn 2022, and the film will have it's premiere in 2023.
”The Longest Day” (”Päivä ilman yötä”), directed by Jonas Selberg Augustsén and co-produced by Empire Pictures, has been selected to the 37th edition of Midnight Sun Film Festival in Sodankylä, Lapland. The Festival takes place June 15th–19th, 2022.
Feature film ”1000”, written by Empire Pictures’ Annalisa Schmuckli, has received a scriptwriting grant from The Cultural Committee of the City of Espoo. The project has previously also received screen writing grants from The Finnish Film Foundation and TAIKE - Art Promotion Center Finland.
The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture in Finland, AVEK, has granted development funding to Empire Pictures’ animated short film “Vagina Confinement“, a story about a single woman and her physical needs in times of COVID-19 lockdown. The movie is written and directed by Saana Räntilä and the animation is being designed by animation artist Erika Weiste.
