“The Mole” has been nominated as the best adventure reality show in Finland 2019. The first season of this international success format was launched in Finland in January 2019 on channel 3 (MTV3). The show was shot in Mexico and produced by Empire Pictures’ Saana Räntilä. The prestigious Venla gala will be held in Helsinki, January 2019.

Japanese Feature Film Snowflower (”Yuki no Hana”), starred by Japanese superstars and line produced by Empire Pictures’ Saana Räntilä, got its world premiere in Tokyo February 2019 and quickly gained more than a million viewers in Japan. The film also premiered in Finland in 2019. As the movie shows beautiful Finnish design and city-culture as well as the wilderness of Lapland both in summer and in winter, the movie is predicted to greatly boost tourism from Japan to Finland.
Short Film ”Sprain” (”Entorse”), directed by Pierre-Louis Umdenstock and produced by Empire Pictures’ Annalisa Schmuckli, has been selected to the ”Green Film Competition” of Interfilm Berlin International Short Film Festival. The festival will take place between November 5th and 10th, 2019. Annalisa will be present at the festival together with the film’s director Pierre-Louis Umdenstock.
This is the 18th festival selection to ”Sprain”, which also received the audience award of the ”Fair un film en 48h” - 2018 Paris competition, and was nominated for best direction, best script and best actress in the national competition.
